Kallion kulttuuriverkosto ry (Kallio's culture network assn) was founded in 2007 by a group of culture enthusiasts in the Kallio area. The goal of its work is to diversify and strengthen the local culture selection and encourage and support the public and different actors in Kallio to develop and organize events of their own. 

Kallion kulttuuriverkosto has been awarded several times for its work. 

Kallio Kukkii and Kallio Kipinöi -festivals
The first and the most important events of Kallion kulttuuriverkosto are the annual festivals Kallio Kukkii (Kallio blossoms) in May and Kallio Kipinöi (Kallio sparkles) in November. Both gather a great number of local actors to produce their own program, which  the association combines to a festival, promotes and does marketing and PR for.

Kallio Walking Festival and Tours
Walking tours are mainly arranged once a month in the Kallio area and they give interesting and informative insights into the rich history, impressive sights and culture of the neighbourhood. The tours are completed by lectures on various subjects such as architecture, arts and music.

Concerts 
Kallion kulttuuriverkosto has over the years produced a number of interesting concerts.  We currently cooperate with Club Damascus at Kalliolan Setlementtitalo, which also houses most of our other activities.

Come along!
The action of the association is based on volunteer work. Crafts, recycling, motion workshops and study groups are examples of new areas on Kallion kulttuuriverkosto's widening agenda.
